We have a strong music tradition in our parish, particularly at the 10am service at St Peter’s.

Our magnificent Fincham and Hobday Organ is used on 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month. Our organists are Rev. Peter Thomson (2nd & 5th) and Mark Joyner (4th). Special choir music is arranged for the 5th Sunday by Gary Sanderson. Music on all these Sundays is hymns and led by a small choir. Newcomers are always welcome.

The 1st Sunday of the month attempts to be inclusive of all ages and a band of keyboard, guitar and flutes play more contemporary worship songs, led by a team of singers. Music is co-ordinated by Rev. Andrew Mintern. We are always happy to welcome more helpers to this music group.

The 3rd Sunday of the month is called Have-a-go Sunday. On this day the choir numbers are swelled by others who want to have a go and sit in the choir stalls and help lead the music. A music group of piano, guitar, flute, saxophone and violin lead the music under the leadership of Julian Ferraretto. Newcomers are always welcome to join in on Have-a-go Sunday.

St Martin’s have a great musical mood as well under the leadership of Don Bull on Keyboard. Clarinet, guitar and the occasional ukulele or tambourine also help out the music.
