Remembering loved ones

The St Peter’s Memorial Gardens provide a beautiful and meaningful way to remember loved ones who have departed this life. Situated in the heart of beautiful Glenelg, and surrounding the iconic St Peter’s church, the Memorial Gardens consist of three sections.

The original garden is the Boomerang or South-Eastern Garden, which features plaques on the Boomerang section, on the Garden Plinth and the Garden wall. This garden is now full. A second area is called the North-Eastern Garden or the North Walk. This area features a memorial plinth underneath the shade of two large Norfolk Pines and is nearly full.

From 1st June 2024 plots have become available in a new section of memorial garden on the South-Western side of the church called, The Discovery Garden. This location offers premium plots to new purchasers as well as the opportunity for existing plot holders of unused sites to move their plot booking to the Discovery Garden.

You can read more about the Memorial Gardens in the full Terms and Conditions document. Please note that in Anglican Memorial Gardens, ashes are interred directly into the ground, returning to the earth from which we are formed. Once the ashes are interred, they cannot be removed. Interment is usually accompanied by a short service of prayers led by one of the priests of the parish.
