Some of our facilities are available for hire for one-off or regular bookings. This is subject to approval by the Parish Priest and the parish always reserves the right not to hire our facilities.
St Martin’s Hall
St Martin’s Hall, located at 45 Hastings Street, Glenelg South offers an area of 120 square metres and access to a small kitchen as well as toilets. There is a stage area at one end. There are two large tables and two small tables (not on wheels) and about twenty chairs. There is a wall mounted Split system for reverse-cycle air-conditioning. This has proven to be a useful space in the past for Drama groups, Children’s activities, Tai-Chi and group meetings.
St Peter’s Community Centre
St Peter’s Community Centre, located at the Eastern end of Torrens Square, has two adjacent areas – the community centre (108 square metres) and the Sunday School room (60 square metres) Large glass sliding doors can be retracted to make this one big area. There is a kitchen with servery and toilets which are access directly from the community centre and Sunday School room. There are four large rectangular tables and four square tables (all on wheels) and 80 chairs. There area has reverse cycle air-conditioning. It also has a wall mounted TV which can be used for presentations. This is a useful area for children’s activities, meetings, gentle fitness groups, funeral catering and quiet community functions.
St Peter’s & St Martin’s Churches
Churches are places of worship, and it is not our usual practice to hire them. However sometimes a choir or music group can request hire for a concert, usually of a religious nature, and these requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
